Responsible to mentor and/or coach team members, when necessary, on technical topics to obtain expected results, and to integrate new members in the organization.
Is involved in all steps of the hiring process of new team members when requested (e.g. participates in interviews as technical evaluator and/or at interview decisions together with direct superior and HR Representative etc…).
Responsible to ensure that employees' competencies and capabilities from his/ her team are at the level required by the job by setting objectives and proposing technical and soft skills trainings for his employees.
Performs regular meetings with all direct reports to ensure high quality work, monitor performance, motivation, retention give & receive feedback, discuss the road map and plan actions if necessary.
Performs the yearly Performance Management Process for all direct reports, with the supervision of the direct superior when needed, according to the applicable procedural and timely requirements.
Responsible to assign/approve work packages for his/her team according to their internal function, competencies and capabilities to increase team performance while maintaining a balanced workload
Responsible to plan and monitor the execution of all activities/tasks in order to meet due dates according to stakeholders’ requirements
Ownership of team's performance metrics including but not limited to setting, evaluating and reporting
Supervises a team of operational buyers, leading the purchasing, tactical buying, sourcing and supplier management activities within defined value limits, to achieve cost-efficient, accurate and on time purchases, including compliance to Vitesco Technologies purchasing policies
Leads the stakeholder/supplier support and issue resolution related to requisitions and purchase orders, ensuring quality and in time delivery of results within the agreed framework, by monitoring regularly the status of team’s work packages
Continuous investigation, development and implementation for automation solutions (RPA, Internal/External Catalogs, & other streamlining concepts).
Identify, drive and sustain Purchasing innovations, process improvements and cost savings initiatives within the team to achieve optimal capacity and process efficiencies.
Lead implementation of technology-related process improvement opportunities (e.g., new version for backend and ordering systems, purchasing catalogs, etc)
Performs tasks and activities assigned to an Operational Buyer´s portfolio (30%)
Academic degree in business administration, engineering or comparable qualification
5 years’ experience in Purchasing
Experience in project management and process, systems & tools implementation
Worked in an international environment
Experience in process improvement activities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
SAP knowledge and work experience
Fluent English language skills
Good negotiation, persuasion and diplomatic skills
Second language fluently written and spoken
Advanced analytics skills
Ability to work under pressure, driving execution
